Overview

  • Serve as an Estimator for a dynamic construction firm specializing in diverse commercial projects.
  • Evaluate and analyze project specifications to provide accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes for construction projects.
  • Contribute to the success of projects ranging from $2M to $20M.
  • Work on ground-up and renovation projects across various industries.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all estimates.
  • Support the company’s reputation for quality and reliability in the greater Nashville area.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine accurate pricing.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align estimates with project goals.
  • Research and source materials and subcontractor services for projects.
  • Monitor and update cost estimates throughout project lifecycle.
  • Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and local regulations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project costs and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates and related activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating; 10 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and materials.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate with teams effectively.
  • Managerial experience in overseeing estimation processes.
