Job Description

Overview

  • Provide administrative support to a neurological surgery practice, ensuring smooth operations across multiple office locations.
  • Assist with patient intake and front desk activities, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient scheduling.
  • Handle phone inquiries and direct communication with doctors and surgeons to facilitate patient care.
  • Travel to various office locations as needed, with reimbursement for travel expenses.
  • Maintain accurate records and insurance information to support billing processes.
  • Work closely with a team to cover for absences and ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Participate in a structured interview process including virtual and in-person meetings.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage patient intake and front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.
  • Coordinate schedules and appointments, optimizing efficiency for doctors and patients.
  • Travel to various office locations to provide coverage as needed, including Manhattan offices.
  • Communicate directly with doctors and surgeons to relay patient information and updates.
  • Answer phone calls and address inquiries, providing accurate information and support.
  • Maintain patient records and insurance details, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Support colleagues during absences, vacations, or emergencies to maintain service continuity.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving administrative processes.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in medical administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical administration; 3 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance processes and patient intake procedures is advantageous.
  • Ability to travel to multiple office locations, with reimbursement for travel expenses.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to interact with patients and medical professionals.
  • Proficiency in handling phone inquiries and scheduling systems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with direct doctor interaction.
  • Availability for an 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday.
