Overview

  • Lead fund accounting and management company operations for a growing private equity firm.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to ensure financial accuracy and strategic planning.
  • Prepare for a potential transition to the CFO role within 18-24 months.
  • Oversee administrative and financial processes for fund management and growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to the firm’s expansion and operational excellence.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to optimize financial strategies and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in strategic decision-making to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage fund accounting processes, including oversight of administrators and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the firm’s growth objectives.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and industry regulations.
  • Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Support operational improvements and efficiency initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop junior finance team members.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in fund accounting or financial management.
  • Preferred 12 years of experience in private equity or similar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles and practices.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work on-site four days a week.
