Overview
- Manage comprehensive accounts payable processes across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.
- Develop and implement structured policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and maintain financial integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams and external partners to support financial and administrative functions.
- Oversee accounts payable coordinator and provide leadership in team development and coaching.
- Support player-related financial matters and manage administrative responsibilities effectively.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in accounts payable processes.
- Lead evaluation and implementation of accounts payable automation platforms for improved workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and vendor management.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, cash forecasts, and variance analyses to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks for payables categories and payment analysis.
- Implement internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Oversee credit card management, travel and expense systems, and related accounts.
- Assist with financial close meetings, providing insights on expense trends and accounts payable metrics.
- Prepare and file forms 1099 and support LM2 reporting and tax filings.
- Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, staff, and internal stakeholders to enhance collaboration.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 8 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and payable management tools.
- Strong Excel skills, including financial reporting and dashboard development.
- Proven experience in internal controls, policy development, and accounts payable automation implementation.
- Knowledge of Department of Labor regulatory requirements and payroll processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and with senior leadership.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
