Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records with utmost confidentiality.
  • Support medical staff by managing inventory, equipment scheduling, and maintenance tasks.
  • Handle incoming calls professionally, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and protect sensitive patient information.
  • Facilitate communication between departments and assist in delivering medical results under supervision.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
  • Contribute to a high-quality healthcare experience through efficient administrative support.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Answer phone calls courteously, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient visit documentation efficiently.
  • Coordinate with medical departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
  • Monitor inventory levels and schedule equipment maintenance as required.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in medical administration are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare facility or customer service role.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD, and CPT coding preferred.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and IT proficiency.
