Job Description

Overview

  • Support the financial health of the organization by managing accounts receivable and facilitating timely payments.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and revenue team to address aged accounts and optimize collection processes.
  • Produce financial and statistical reports for leadership and billing attorneys.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex collections issues within the revenue team.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and proprietary information.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor accounts receivable and engage with clients to facilitate timely payments.
  • Coordinate with billing attorneys and revenue team to address outstanding items.
  • Develop understanding of accounts through regular meetings and documentation.
  • Generate financial reports for management and leadership as required.
  • Guide revenue team on complex collections issues and provide solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards for sensitive information.
  • Utilize accounting systems to manage collections and reporting tasks effectively.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in legal or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and legal accounting systems like 3E or CMS.
  • Experience with professional services collections strategies preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and revenue team members.
