Overview
- Support securities processing including asset transfers, mutual fund trades, and market value adjustments in a dynamic financial services environment.
- Collaborate with custody department members to address transaction discrepancies and ensure accurate processing.
- Utilize systems such as Global Plus, LongView, and BNY Nexen to manage securities movements.
- Contribute to a high-volume transaction environment requiring attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Engage in research and resolution of discrepancies, escalating issues as necessary to management.
- Develop knowledge in corporate actions, income processing, settlements, and trust accounting.
- Enhance analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced financial setting.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Process securities transactions including ACATS, non-ACATS, gifts, and donations with precision and efficiency.
- Verify and support the movement of securities while ensuring compliance with internal protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve transaction discrepancies and maintain operational accuracy.
- Recognize and mitigate risks associated with asset movements, escalating concerns as needed.
- Utilize financial systems to manage and reconcile securities transactions effectively.
- Maintain organizational standards by managing multiple tasks and adhering to deadlines.
- Contribute to team efforts by demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial services operations; 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in systems such as Global Plus, LongView, BNY Nexen, and Matrix.
- Familiarity with corporate actions, settlements, reconciliations, and trust accounting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
