Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the private markets due diligence business, overseeing processes, educational content, client presentations, and managing investment analysts.
  • Develop and maintain market maps for private capital strategies, identifying investment opportunities and trends.
  • Coordinate pipeline management, fund manager sourcing, and launch timelines for private markets asset classes.
  • Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports on managers, analyzing qualitative and quantitative factors.
  • Participate in monitoring meetings for existing investments, ensuring alignment with performance metrics.
  • Present investment merits and market trends to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, compliance, and corporate finance teams to align strategies.
  • Maintain a pipeline of investment ideas and lead efforts in developing strategic collateral.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage the private markets research division, including market research and pipeline management.
  • Conduct investment and operational due diligence on private capital managers for platform inclusion.
  • Prepare detailed reports on fund managers, assessing their qualitative and quantitative aspects.
  • Coordinate investment committee schedules and materials for monthly meetings.
  • Monitor existing fund investments, ensuring performance aligns with established metrics.
  • Lead sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities in private markets.
  • Develop educational content and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and communicate insights to the investment team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree with 15+ years in financial services and 10+ years in private capital due diligence.
  • Proven expertise in fund manager evaluation, with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis, presenting to senior industry professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and manage teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of private equity, private credit, real estate, and real assets.
  • Familiarity with investment committee processes and fund monitoring.
  • Capability to develop market maps and maintain investment pipelines.
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal teams across sales, legal, and compliance.
