Overview

  • Lead the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing team, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with standards.
  • Develop and implement programs for safe and efficient patient care delivery.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and nursing care effectiveness to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and administrators on nursing strategies and services.
  • Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Promote professional development and training for nursing staff to enhance competencies.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee NICU nursing services, ensuring consistent application of policies and standards.
  • Monitor and improve patient satisfaction and workplace safety measures.
  • Implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain clinical policies and standards, ensuring compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical patient care experience in NICU or relevant settings.
  • At least 2 years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably in NICU management.
  • Active RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure.
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
