Overview
- Serve as a Senior Field Clinical Coordinator supporting patient education and therapy adherence in a designated geographical region.
- Utilize approved educational materials to educate patients on safe and appropriate use of marketed therapies.
- Collaborate with clinics, field sales teams, and RareConnections personnel to ensure timely therapy initiation.
- Provide in-person support for self-administration of FDA-approved therapies as needed.
- Conduct patient-level education on disease awareness, therapy administration, and clinic-specific protocols.
- Participate in direct-to-patient educational events to raise awareness about disease states and therapies.
- Demonstrate leadership by contributing to cross-functional teams and advancing best practices.
- Travel up to 65% of the workweek to support patients and clinics effectively.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Collaborate with account teams to move cases from referral to therapy initiation.
- Conduct motivational interviewing to empower patients in managing their health needs.
- Provide reminders for medication, prescribed labs, and clinic appointments.
- Educate patients on therapy safety, efficacy, dosing, administration, and storage.
- Participate in regional and national assignments, including training and advocacy group liaison roles.
- Generate and communicate best practices to enhance strategy and implementation.
- Uncover obstacles and trends, creating solutions widely adopted across teams.
- Deliver dynamic and engaging presentations to diverse audiences.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of direct patient care experience in rare diseases.
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical experience as a patient educator.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and motivational interviewing skills.
- Strong presentation skills for engaging small and large groups.
- Action-oriented with high adaptability and business acumen.
- Expert navigation of systems and alignment of resources to action plans.
- Ability to travel up to 65% of the workweek.
