Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial planning and analysis operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in budgeting, cost accounting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, collaborating with organizational leaders to ensure compliance and quality control.
  • Supervise cost accounting systems, maintaining functionality and training users for effective utilization.
  • Coordinate business planning and financial projections, assisting in feasibility studies and adopting rolling budget solutions.
  • Prepare and present service line profitability reports, ensuring integrity and comparability of financial data.
  • Manage labor productivity tools, acting as a subject-matter expert to address inquiries and ensure data accuracy.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to finance staff, fostering development and enhancing departmental performance.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop effective finance business partner concepts and strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage annual operating budget preparation, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality control standards.
  • Supervise cost accounting systems, ensuring accurate reporting and training for departmental managers.
  • Coordinate business plans and financial projections, supporting new ventures and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare and present service line financial reports, assisting leaders in understanding operational impacts.
  • Ensure accuracy and functionality of labor productivity tools, addressing inquiries and maintaining standards.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives assigned by the CFO, ensuring successful execution.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to finance staff, promoting development and retention.
  • Conduct outreach meetings with service line directors to foster effective collaboration and financial strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years accounting experience, with 5 years in managerial roles and healthcare-related financial operations.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including databases, spreadsheets, and report-writing tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication abilities across management levels.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost accounting, and financial reporting within the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to lead and supervise finance teams, promoting development and performance improvement.
  • Knowledge of labor productivity tools and standards, acting as a subject-matter expert.
