Overview
- Lead and supervise peer support staff in a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
- Ensure integration of peer-led interventions within recovery-oriented care models.
- Provide mentorship, training, and professional development to peer support staff.
- Develop and refine peer support service models and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to integrate peer support into service plans.
- Conduct audits and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of peer services.
- Represent the organization at community meetings and professional events.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and manage Peer Specialists, Family Peer Advocates, and Certified Recovery Peer Advocates.
- Provide individual and group supervision, ensuring adherence to peer support principles.
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and support professional growth.
- Develop policies and procedures for peer support services within the organization.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with standards.
- Educate multidisciplinary teams on peer support principles and practices.
- Analyze data to evaluate peer service outcomes and implement improvements.
- Build relationships with community organizations and advocacy groups.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or psychology.
- Licensure as LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT required.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in behavioral health or peer support.
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented services.
- Preferred certifications: NYCPS, FPA, YPA, or CRPA.
- Experience in integrated care settings or community-based programs preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish or other community languages is advantageous.
