Overview
- Lead and supervise peer support staff within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
- Ensure integration of peer support services into recovery-oriented care models.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in peer support.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance service delivery and care planning.

- Promote self-care and professional boundaries among peer staff.
- Analyze data to measure effectiveness of peer services and identify improvements.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide individual and group supervision to peer support staff, ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines.
- Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance staff engagement.
- Develop policies and workflows to support peer roles within the organization.
- Conduct chart reviews and audits to ensure documentation accuracy.
- Educate team members on peer support principles and the value of lived experience.
- Act as a liaison between peer staff and clinical teams to improve collaboration.
- Implement evaluation tools to assess peer service impact and identify improvements.
- Build relationships with community organizations to strengthen peer programming.
- Stay informed on emerging best practices in peer support and recovery-oriented services.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, psychology, or related field.
- LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT licensure required.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in behavioral health or peer support programs.
- Experience with mental health, substance use recovery, or family advocacy.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented services.
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation and data reporting.
- Preferred certifications: NYCPS, FPA, YPA, CRPA.
- Training in motivational interviewing, harm reduction, or wellness coaching.
- Bilingual in Spanish or other community languages is advantageous.
