Overview
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patient care, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Perform both administrative and clinical duties to support efficient healthcare delivery.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Administer medications and vaccines, perform phlebotomy, and collect specimens as required.
- Maintain examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records systems.
- Interpret policies and procedures to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including Tuberculosis screening requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Discuss symptoms with patients and obtain vital signs to assist in diagnosis.
- Perform diagnostic screening tests and document findings for physician review.
- Administer medications and vaccines following certification guidelines.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Sterilize and clean medical equipment to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Maintain examination rooms, ensuring readiness for patient appointments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in operational and customer support assignments as needed.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of Medical Assistant training program preferred.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
- CPR certification required; must meet Tuberculosis screening requirements.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, with preference for 5+ years.
- Proficiency in medication/vaccine administration and phlebotomy procedures.
- Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, on-site.
