Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the Emergency Services department to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards for emergency services.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams and physicians to enhance service offerings and drive growth.
  • Promote employee engagement, development, and retention through effective leadership and coaching.
  • Utilize patient feedback to improve customer satisfaction and elevate the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee the Emergency Services department's daily operations, ensuring efficient patient throughput and care delivery.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Monitor department performance against benchmarks and address gaps proactively.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve patient experience and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to elevate team performance and engagement.
  • Participate in budget planning and monitor financial performance to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion and collaborate on growth strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving performance metrics and operational goals.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and engage teams.
  • Experience in managing high-volume emergency departments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to foster interdisciplinary teamwork.
