Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for CVICU patients, ensuring exceptional care delivery.
  • Manage patient populations including CT surgery, endovascular repairs, and CABG/Valve procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Provide in-hospital follow-up and management throughout the disease process for critical care patients.
  • Participate in rotating weekend and holiday shifts to ensure continuous patient care coverage.
  • Engage in training and utilization of advanced medical devices for effective patient management.
  • Adhere to the Texas Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards of care in all practices.
  • Mentor and collaborate with healthcare team members to foster professional growth and development.

Job Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with AGACNP certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care (ICU) as RN or NP; 3 years preferred.
  • Proven experience managing heart failure populations in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends/holidays as part of the CVICU team.
  • Strong commitment to delivering compassionate and personalized patient care.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Willingness to undergo a 2-3 month credentialing process to ensure readiness for the role.
