Job Description

Overview

  • Manage fund accounting operations for diverse investment portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of fund administrators, fostering professional growth and excellence.
  • Oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activities to meet client expectations.
  • Interpret partnership agreements to ensure proper allocation and adherence to fund terms.
  • Collaborate with auditors during year-end audits, ensuring smooth processes and compliance.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise fund administrators in managing daily accounting and reporting tasks effectively.
  • Allocate resources strategically to meet client deadlines and operational goals.
  • Review and approve financial transactions at various levels of investment.
  • Monitor daily cash activities, including wire transfers and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation and application of partnership agreements.
  • Prepare and review quarterly accounting packages and financial statements.
  • Support external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, addressing queries and delivering exceptional service.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in fund accounting or investment management.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Allvue, Investran, or similar systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
