Overview
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for diverse adult clientele in a dynamic healthcare setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance program policies and strategic planning efforts.
- Flexible schedule across two locations, focusing on adult families and men's shelter populations.

- Engage in crisis intervention and case conferences to address emergent client needs.
- Contribute to incident review and training committees to promote organizational excellence.
- Provide emergency first aid and CPR when required, ensuring client safety.
- Report to the Vice President of Nursing for clinical supervision and guidance.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and prescribe psychotropic medications for clients with complex needs.
- Manage medication regimens and monitor client progress to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
- Participate in case conferences and crisis intervention to address urgent clinical situations.
- Provide guidance and support to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) as needed.
- Collaborate with program managers to develop and implement improvement policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the agency's incident review and training committees to enhance service quality.
- Deliver emergency first aid, CPR, and other necessary interventions during critical situations.
- Perform related duties as assigned to support organizational goals and client care.
Job Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing degree with NYS certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Minimum of 1 year experience, with 5 years preferred, in mental health or substance abuse settings.
- CPR/AED/first aid/naloxone certifications or willingness to obtain them upon hire.
- Strong emergency response, interpersonal, and communication skills essential.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and effective writing skills required.
- Bilingual capabilities preferred to enhance client communication and care.
