Overview

  • Lead billing operations for a dynamic law firm, ensuring precision and compliance with financial policies and industry standards.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics tools to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and legal teams to optimize billing workflows and implement best practices.
  • Manage complex billing portfolios, ensuring timely revenue recognition and client satisfaction.
  • Provide expertise in legal billing systems, including E-billing platforms and Thomson Reuters 3E suite.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, firm policies, and external regulations.
  • Support conflict resolution and collections efforts to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to address billing inquiries effectively and promptly.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing and compliance with firm standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed billing reports using advanced tools such as Thomson Reuters 3E and Power BI.
  • Monitor and reconcile unbilled accounts to ensure timely billing cycles and revenue recognition.
  • Manage E-billing submissions, addressing client-specific requirements and resolving rejections.
  • Lead collections efforts, coordinating with attorneys and clients to address payment delays effectively.
  • Support conflict search and new matter intake processes, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Generate and interpret billing metrics to aid financial forecasting and performance tracking.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in legal billing within a law firm environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Thomson Reuters 3E suite and Power BI essential.
  • Strong command of Excel; familiarity with SQL preferred.
  • Proven ability to improve billing workflows and ensure accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience managing collections and resolving discrepancies in billing environments.
