Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring their healthcare needs are met efficiently and compassionately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient education and hands-on treatment.
  • Act as a vital member of the care team, contributing to the overall patient experience.
  • Support physicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and report any shortages to the Nurse Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers to enhance care delivery.
  • Contribute to a positive and welcoming environment for patients and team members.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Room patients and assist providers in preparing for procedures and exams.
  • Collect and document patient history, vital signs, and relevant information accurately and promptly.
  • Educate patients about their health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Sterilize and disinfect medical instruments, equipment, and reusable supplies.
  • Maintain and replenish medical supplies in exam rooms and designated areas as directed.
  • Report any issues hindering quality care delivery to the supervisor promptly.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support patient care.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare staff.
  • Experience in healthcare settings, preferably with FQHC background and Creole language skills.
  • Commitment to delivering safe and quality patient care in a team-oriented environment.
  • Positive attitude and ability to contribute to a welcoming team atmosphere.
