Overview

- Act as a vital member of the care team, contributing to the overall patient experience.
- Support physicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and report any shortages to the Nurse Manager.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers to enhance care delivery.
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming environment for patients and team members.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Room patients and assist providers in preparing for procedures and exams.
- Collect and document patient history, vital signs, and relevant information accurately and promptly.
- Educate patients about their health conditions and treatment plans.
- Assist physicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Sterilize and disinfect medical instruments, equipment, and reusable supplies.
- Maintain and replenish medical supplies in exam rooms and designated areas as directed.
- Report any issues hindering quality care delivery to the supervisor promptly.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support patient care.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; 4 years preferred.
- Proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare staff.
- Experience in healthcare settings, preferably with FQHC background and Creole language skills.
- Commitment to delivering safe and quality patient care in a team-oriented environment.
- Positive attitude and ability to contribute to a welcoming team atmosphere.
