Job Description

Overview

  • Lead multifamily and mixed-use construction projects, ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget constraints.
  • Manage project documentation, contracts, budgets, and schedules to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Utilize advanced project management tools to maintain accurate tracking and reporting throughout project lifecycles.
  • Interpret technical documents and reports to guide strategic planning and execution decisions.
  • Drive deadlines across multiple projects while maintaining proactive communication with stakeholders and team members.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development of scopes of work for new construction and rehabilitation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee projects from initiation through closeout, managing budgets, contracts, and documentation effectively.
  • Prepare bid packages, solicit bids, and perform detailed analyses to determine contract values.
  • Negotiate, award, and administer subcontracts, ensuring financial reviews and contract changes are accurately managed.
  • Maintain comprehensive buyout logs with monthly updates, tracking budgets, contracts, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate construction documents across disciplines, ensuring alignment and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, samples, and approvals, maintaining audit-ready records for compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with field teams to support execution and uphold quality standards throughout construction phases.
  • Drive project deadlines, maintaining proactive communication with subcontractors and stakeholders for seamless execution.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience, with 10 years preferred, managing multifamily and mixed-use projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, including Procore and CPM scheduling, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong skills in contract negotiation, budgeting, and subcontract administration for complex projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical consultant reports effectively.
  • Effective leadership and mentoring skills to manage and develop team members successfully.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
