  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives within a dynamic financial services environment, ensuring robust security practices and compliance.
  • Manage a small team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
  • Oversee daily security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and tool optimization.
  • Collaborate with employees across departments to enforce security policies and conduct audits.
  • Develop and implement security strategies aligned with business objectives and emerging threats.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Present cybersecurity updates to leadership and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Promote advanced cybersecurity technology adoption to proactively address future threats.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering their growth and development.
  • Monitor security operations, responding to incidents and managing vulnerabilities effectively.
  • Ensure optimal configuration and utilization of cybersecurity tools to minimize risks.
  • Collaborate with employees to enforce security policies and conduct compliance checks.
  • Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks, leading remediation efforts post-assessments.
  • Develop presentations for cybersecurity updates to committees and leadership.
  • Implement strategies to address emerging threats and align with regulatory standards.
  • Promote the adoption of advanced cybersecurity technologies for enhanced resilience.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of cybersecurity experience, with 2 years in managerial roles.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Microsoft Purview, SentinelOne, and Splunk.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certification required.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance technical expertise with strategic oversight effectively.
  • Prior experience in financial services, particularly broker-dealer operations, preferred.
