Overview
- Serve as the first point of contact for patient care, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Perform both administrative and clinical duties to support healthcare operations effectively.
- Collaborate closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records systems.
- Administer medications and vaccines, perform phlebotomy, and collect diagnostic specimens.
- Maintain examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Interpret policies and procedures to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Work within defined parameters to meet quality standards and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Discuss symptoms with patients and obtain vital signs to assist in diagnosis.
- Perform diagnostic screening tests and document results accurately.
- Administer medications and vaccines as per certification guidelines.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Follow standard policies and procedures, exercising discretion as needed.
- Participate in the company's Tuberculosis screening program and adhere to health protocols.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of Medical Assistant training program preferred.
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- CPR certification and compliance with Tuberculosis screening requirements.
- Experience in medication/vaccine administration and phlebotomy preferred.
- Knowledge of Value-Based Care, HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, in an on-site setting.
