Job Description

Overview

  • Lead operational excellence within an alternative investment platform, overseeing client-facing support and technical operations.
  • Drive process improvements, foster cross-functional collaboration, and manage escalations for complex issues.
  • Ensure seamless fund launches and exceptional client experiences through strategic oversight and day-to-day operations.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, aligning resources and meeting service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver best-in-class execution and support business development efforts.
  • Leverage data analysis tools to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement automation and process enhancements for scalability and efficiency.
  • Provide transparent updates to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Apply emerging technologies, including GenAI, to operational solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead platform operations across the alternative investment lifecycle, including fund configuration and white-label support.
  • Manage and mentor the team, fostering collaboration and ensuring seamless business-as-usual activities.
  • Serve as an escalation point and subject matter expert, building trust with stakeholders.
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead impactful projects from initiation through execution, including risk mitigation and delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality execution and support business development.
  • Ensure seamless data and cash flow reconciliation with custodians and fund administrators.
  • Provide updates to senior leadership, ensuring accountability and strategic alignment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in alternative investment operations; 15+ years preferred.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing operational teams.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Experience with emerging technologies, including GenAI, and their application in operations.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex counterparties and ensure seamless reconciliation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with fund administrators, custodians, and reporting providers preferred.
