Job Description

Overview

  • Lead billing operations at a prestigious law firm, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes.
  • Supervise a team of billing analysts, promoting collaboration and timely invoice generation.
  • Manage billing systems, including user setup, security profiles, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure compliance.
  • Administer e-billing platforms and oversee specialized billing arrangements.
  • Ensure month-end and year-end closing processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and support to attorneys and staff regarding billing processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily billing operations, ensuring all processes adhere to firm standards.
  • Direct a team of billing analysts to guarantee timely and accurate invoice preparation.
  • Manage and troubleshoot billing systems, ensuring optimal functionality and security.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address billing-related issues effectively.
  • Administer e-billing platforms and ensure compliance with client-specific requirements.
  • Review pre-bills, process edits, and finalize client invoices in various formats.
  • Audit invoices for accuracy and compliance with specialized billing arrangements.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on billing systems and processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of billing management experience, preferably in a law firm.
  • Proficiency with SurePoint and Intapp billing systems strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to manage and troubleshoot billing software.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
