Overview
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine therapy needs and goals.
- Design and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to individual residents.
- Educate residents and caregivers on effective use of adaptive equipment.
- Document therapy sessions and progress for accurate record-keeping and billing.
- Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide training and guidance to new team members and students.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to align therapy goals with overall care plans.
- Adapt treatment plans to maximize therapeutic benefits and resident independence.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience preferred; new graduates are welcome.
- Valid Occupational Therapy License (Virginia VDHP) required upon hire.
- NBCOT Certification (OTR) required upon hire.
- CPR/BLS Certification required upon hire (AHA/ARC/ASHI accepted).
- Strong documentation and communication skills for effective care planning.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
