Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to estimating processes for commercial projects within the AEC industry.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost assessments and proposals.
  • Utilize industry-standard software for cost estimation and analysis.
  • Support the development of competitive bids and proposals for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and cost factors.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide insights to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to align project budgets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
  • Develop and present cost proposals to project stakeholders.
  • Monitor and update project budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend solutions.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in construction or estimating preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and materials.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
