Overview

  • Work as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic, providing patient care and administrative support in a professional healthcare environment.
  • Utilize your medical knowledge and experience with EMRs to ensure efficient clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Engage with patients using a friendly demeanor and demonstrate strong work ethics in all tasks.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, vaccinations, and suture removal with precision and care.
  • Support administrative tasks including patient check-in/check-out, phone answering, and insurance verification.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, vaccinations, suture removal, and urine dip sticks.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently and professionally.
  • Answer phone calls and provide accurate information to patients and staff.
  • Verify insurance details to ensure smooth billing and patient care processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs).
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Adhere to clinic protocols and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide assistance during pediatric-focused medical procedures and consultations.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in medical assisting preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical setting; pediatric experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medications and dosages.
  • Certification in phlebotomy and ability to conduct EKGs and vaccinations.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and insurance verification processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with patients.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Background check clearance required prior to employment.
