Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, vaccinations, suture removal, and urine dip sticks.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently and professionally.
- Answer phone calls and provide accurate information to patients and staff.
- Verify insurance details to ensure smooth billing and patient care processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to clinic protocols and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
- Provide assistance during pediatric-focused medical procedures and consultations.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in medical assisting preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical setting; pediatric experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medications and dosages.
- Certification in phlebotomy and ability to conduct EKGs and vaccinations.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and insurance verification processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with patients.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
