Overview
- Lead nursing operations for Maternal Child Health services in a high-acuity healthcare environment.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address patient and family needs effectively.
- Manage resources efficiently to support the hospital's mission and operational goals.
- Oversee operations of antepartum, labor and delivery, and NICU units.
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional care in a facility with over 3,500 births annually.
- Support and mentor nursing staff to foster professional growth and development.
- Contribute to the hospital's standing as a regional leader in Women's and Children's healthcare.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and implement nursing care plans to meet high-acuity patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes to uphold quality care standards.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for Maternal Child Health units.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Lead initiatives to improve patient care delivery and operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes for the department.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact license.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent leadership experience in a high-acuity hospital setting.
- Experience managing Women's Services with at least 3,500 births annually.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to achieve and maintain BCLS certification.
- Proven ability to manage resources effectively and support hospital mission.
