Job Description

Overview

  • Provide essential care and assistance to visually impaired adults in an adult day care setting.
  • Support daily activities and ensure the comfort and safety of clients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver quality care services.
  • Maintain a positive and compassionate environment for clients.
  • Assist clients with mobility, hygiene, and other personal care needs.
  • Ensure adherence to established care protocols and procedures.
  • Work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, in a reliable and consistent manner.
  • Contribute to the well-being and independence of visually impaired adults.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to visually impaired adults.
  • Monitor clients' health and report any changes to healthcare staff.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of clients during activities and transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and clients' progress.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a caregiving role preferred.
  • Strong reliability and commitment to consistent attendance.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with visually impaired adults.
  • Ability to follow care protocols and adapt to clients' needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
