Overview
- Coordinate and manage dispatching operations for vehicles and personnel in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure timely and efficient service delivery while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and track dispatched vehicles and personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and stakeholders to address inquiries and concerns.
- Handle emergency situations promptly, providing solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities for reporting and analysis.
- Assist with customs screening procedures as required to ensure compliance.
- Work onsite Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate dispatch schedules and assign vehicles and personnel to meet operational needs.
- Monitor the progress and status of dispatched vehicles and personnel throughout the day.
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and resolve issues during operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during dispatching activities.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Handle emergency situations effectively, coordinating resources to address challenges.
- Assist with customs screening processes when required, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize dispatching operations and improve efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or equivalent educational background.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching or a related role, with 4 years preferred.
- Proven ability to manage dispatch operations and handle emergency situations effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple dispatch activities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with drivers, customers, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with dispatch software and tools for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug and alcohol tests as required.
- Experience with customs screening procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
