Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Analyze project documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Perform scope determinations and quantity surveys for multi-discipline projects.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes to develop comprehensive scopes.
- Lead meetings with subcontractors to discuss strategies and ensure alignment.
- Develop strategies to meet minority participation requirements.
- Monitor and compare estimated costs to actual costs for continuous improvement.
- Prepare responses to RFQs and RFPs to support project acquisition efforts.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and identify potential challenges.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Field experience and familiarity with conceptual and self-perform estimating.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including active construction sites.
