Overview

- Provide peer-led interventions and assist with navigating services and resources.

- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Facilitate individual and group peer support sessions to promote wellness.
- Assist individuals in navigating behavioral health and social service systems.
- Provide referrals to appropriate community resources based on needs.
- Support individuals in developing self-management and coping strategies.
- Advocate for individuals’ rights and preferences within treatment teams.
- Collaborate with clinical providers and case managers to integrate peer support.
- Participate in team meetings to provide a peer perspective.
- Serve as a role model for recovery and demonstrate professional boundaries.
- Adhere to agency policies and confidentiality requirements.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) certification or ability to obtain within six months.
- Lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges and demonstrated recovery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and uphold cultural humility.
- Basic computer skills, including documentation in electronic health records.
- Experience in behavioral health or social services settings preferred.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and person-centered recovery models preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or other community languages preferred.
