Job Description

Overview

  • Ensure the proper installation, testing, and operation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and controls.
  • Collaborate with project teams to verify compliance with contract documents and building codes.
  • Witness and validate startup, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Resolve non-conforming work and manage punch list items effectively.
  • Apply industry standards such as ASME, ASHRAE, and NFPA in quality control processes.
  • Leverage mechanical engineering expertise to ensure system performance and safety.
  • Contribute to strategic solutions and align team efforts to achieve project goals.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review plans, specifications, and submittals for mechanical systems compliance.
  • Inspect installations of piping, ductwork, insulation, and mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes and standards during installations.
  • Monitor and verify the commissioning process for HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to address issues.
  • Document and resolve non-conforming work promptly.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical construction or quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in industry standards such as ASME, ASHRAE, and NFPA.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills to engage various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
