Overview

  • Lead nursing operations across multiple facilities within a healthcare system, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to stabilize and improve nursing performance in transitional environments.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align nursing practices with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies to enhance clinical quality and patient safety.
  • Provide leadership in recruitment, retention, and professional development of nursing staff.
  • Represent nursing concerns at governance and medical staff meetings, advocating for clinical excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as accreditation standards.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the nursing department.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Job Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing or related field required; postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Active RN license with eligibility for multistate compact licensure.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive nursing leadership experience; 10 years preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead nursing operations in transitional or challenging environments.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and healthcare laws.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on team-building.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting, retaining, and developing nursing staff.
