Overview

  • Conduct in-depth credit risk analysis for diverse issuers, delivering actionable insights and investment strategies to support portfolio management decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine investment policies and assess market opportunities within a dynamic, hybrid work environment.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including financial models, investment cases, and sector analyses, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Engage with industry participants and management teams to address controversies and refine responsible investing policies.
  • Provide expert insights on sector developments and relative value assessments to enhance portfolio positioning strategies.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, fostering adaptability and innovation in investment approaches.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform detailed credit analysis, including financial assessments, risk evaluations, and valuation studies for issuers across sectors.
  • Deliver comprehensive insights on new issues and existing positions, supporting portfolio management strategies.
  • Collaborate with Responsible Investing teams to execute policies and refine investment approaches.
  • Engage with management teams to address material controversies and enhance policy frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including models and sector outlooks, ensuring alignment with investment goals.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss fundamentals, relative value, and portfolio strategies.
  • Utilize advanced tools and software to enhance analytical capabilities and investment decision-making processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required; CFA or MBA preferred for advanced analytical proficiency.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in credit analysis, with expertise in High Yield and Leveraged Loans preferred.
  • Strong modeling capabilities, including scenario-based analysis for complex financial evaluations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg; Python familiarity is advantageous for data analysis.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of bank and bond documentation, covenants, and corporate structures is essential.
