Job Description

Overview

  • Oversee the Cardiovascular Services department, including Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab, ensuring optimal patient care and operational excellence.
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals, fostering collaboration and maintaining high standards of care delivery.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and strategies to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of services and patient-centered care.
  • Monitor and evaluate department performance, initiating quality improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and protocols, maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Provide strategic leadership in resource allocation, staffing, and departmental budgeting.
  • Act as a liaison between the department and internal/external stakeholders, promoting effective communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily operations of Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab, ensuring efficient workflow and patient care quality.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate with physicians and clinical teams to maintain comprehensive service coverage and on-call schedules.
  • Analyze departmental performance metrics, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and healthcare regulations, conducting regular audits and reviews.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and care outcomes within the department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiology-related fields, with 3 years preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within healthcare settings.
  • BCLS/BLS certification from AHA or ARC within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS/ALS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
