Overview
- Manage clinical practice guideline and consensus panels, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with panel members, contract methodologists, and medical librarians for guideline development.
- Oversee literature review panels to maintain currency of existing documents.
- Maintain conflict-of-interest records and promote departmental initiatives.
- Support review of new topics and coordinate endorsements as assigned.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance dissemination of guidelines.
- Record minutes, develop publications, and manage writing responsibilities.
- Assist in developing nominations for systematic literature reviews and evidence reports.
- Promote collaboration and ensure procedural accuracy within the department.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage complex guideline panels, monitoring schedules, resources, and budgets.
- Maintain contact with panel chairs, members, and consultants for progress updates.
- Support the review of potential topics and endorsements.
- Maintain accurate records of document development processes.
- Develop nominations for systematic literature reviews and evidence reports.
- Record panel minutes and manage writing responsibilities, including publications.
- Collaborate with departments to enhance guideline dissemination.
- Manage conflict-of-interest policies and programs for the department.
- Provide support to the Practice Guidelines Committee as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health or science-related field required.
- Minimum two years of experience in healthcare or research with physician committees.
- Experience in project management is essential.
- Knowledge of evidence-based medicine and systematic review processes preferred.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
