Senior Superintendent – Cold Storage Facility

Overview

• Lead construction projects for cold storage facilities, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with project teams to manage budgets and schedules effectively.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Develop and implement quality control programs for construction projects.
• Provide leadership and training to personnel, fostering a positive work environment.
• Review design documents and shop drawings for accuracy and feasibility.
• Assist in material procurement and integrate into project schedules.
• Utilize BIM and CAD tools to enhance project planning and execution.
• Travel as required to oversee project progress and ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project specifications.
• Develop and track critical path method (CPM) schedules for construction projects.
• Monitor and control general construction budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.
• Implement and oversee comprehensive safety programs for project sites.
• Review and comprehend all design documents and shop drawings for accuracy.
• Assist in material procurement processes and integrate into master schedules.
• Establish and monitor quality control programs to maintain high standards.
• Apply value engineering principles to optimize project outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with project team members to ensure smooth operations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in construction or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in cold storage or food & beverage construction.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests.
• Proficiency in BIM, CAD, and MS Project scheduling tools.
• Strong knowledge of current building codes and construction market trends.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise project teams effectively.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed for project oversight.
