Overview
- Lead revenue cycle operations for a multisite surgical practice, ensuring financial integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with clinical and business teams to optimize workflows and enhance patient experience.
- Develop strategic plans to improve collections, reduce denials, and streamline processes.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to onsite and remote revenue cycle teams.
- Oversee credentialing and payer enrollment for all billable staff.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations.
- Implement technology solutions to enhance revenue cycle performance.
- Prepare and present performance reports and dashboards to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage billing, collections, authorizations, and credentialing across multiple locations.
- Monitor claim submission, payment posting, and denial management processes.
- Ensure timely insurance verification and prior authorization procedures.
- Collaborate with EMR and billing vendors to optimize tools and workflows.
- Develop training materials and job aids for revenue cycle staff.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of revenue cycle personnel.
- Prepare audit reports and presentations for internal projects.
- Coordinate payer communications and dispute resolution processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required.
- 6-8 years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle management experience, including 4 years in leadership.
- Proficiency in end-to-end revenue cycle processes and compliance regulations.
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and Workers’ Compensation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of surgical or specialty care settings preferred.
- Ability to manage onsite and remote teams effectively.
