Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee budget performance, review ledger accounts, and manage journal entries utilizing advanced accounting software.
- Lead monthly close processes for assigned properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Analyze financial trends and provide actionable insights to support strategic planning and organizational objectives.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, addressing gaps and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Manage debt compliance and lender deliverables, aligning with organizational financial strategies.
- Collaborate with teams to oversee fixed asset capitalization, project closeouts, and depreciation schedules.
- Support technology integrations and drive process automation to improve operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience; 15 years preferred, ideally within property accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, Blackline, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with lender reporting and debt compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive continuous improvements.
