Job Description

Overview

  • Provide exceptional patient care and administrative support in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, medication administration, and diagnostic specimen handling.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and seamless patient care.
  • Maintain examination rooms and medical equipment to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
  • Document patient interactions and medical data accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Engage in a supportive team environment, contributing to operational and service excellence.
  • Interpret policies and prioritize assignments effectively within defined parameters.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing patient experience and healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Discuss patient symptoms and collect vital signs for accurate medical assessments.
  • Administer medications and vaccines in compliance with healthcare protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomy and manage diagnostic specimen collection for laboratory analysis.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of patient information in electronic medical records systems.
  • Maintain and sterilize medical equipment, ensuring examination rooms are prepared for use.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver integrated patient care services.
  • Support operational tasks and contribute to customer service excellence.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and exercise discretion in task prioritization.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant training program or certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
  • Mandatory CPR certification for patient-facing roles.
  • Experience with medication administration, vaccine handling, and phlebotomy preferred.
  • Familiarity with HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and patient experience metrics is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Tuberculosis screening is required as part of the health program.
