Overview

  • Lead accounting operations for a prominent energy company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with precision.
  • Ensure adherence to US GAAP and SOX compliance in all accounting activities.
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams to align accounting practices with strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement robust accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and statements for stakeholders.
  • Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Manage and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 6–9 years of accounting experience, including exposure to public company environments.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting processes.
  • Proven ability to manage financial close processes and deliver accurate results.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communicator with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Motivated to lead and contribute to a dynamic accounting organization.
  • Experience in public accounting or a combination of public and corporate accounting preferred.
