Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review complex Federal, state, and city income tax returns with precision.
  • Oversee audits at various levels, ensuring compliance and resolving issues effectively.
  • Calculate estimated tax payments and manage partner distribution tax amounts.
  • Handle foreign bank account reporting and state withholding documentation.
  • Supervise and guide tax staff, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Communicate tax-related information to partners, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with departments to streamline compliance and operational processes.
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to organizational initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of partnership tax experience, preferably in a top accounting firm.
  • CPA or EA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, including advanced functions like VLookup and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
  • Experience in supervising staff and managing tax compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of individual and international tax compliance is advantageous.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
