Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage inpatient obstetrical and neonatal services within a healthcare organization.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership for strategic planning and program development.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee fiscal management and operational efficiency of perinatal services.
  • Provide leadership for clinical service delivery across inpatient units.
  • Contribute to technology and information system selection and implementation.
  • Manage units such as Birthing Center, NICU, and Lactation Services.
  • Develop and implement successful programs to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct daily operations of obstetrical and neonatal services.
  • Partner with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Develop and manage budgets for perinatal services.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Lead strategic planning and program development efforts.
  • Provide input on technology and systems to enhance service delivery.
  • Supervise and mentor staff across perinatal units.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • State of WI Nursing License mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in perinatal services.
  • Strong knowledge of obstetrical and neonatal care practices.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success in program development and implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and physician partnering skills.
