Overview
- Provide specialized nursing care in the cardiovascular surgery department, focusing on open-heart procedures and patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage medical equipment effectively.
- Coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless procedural operations.
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
- Educate patients and families about recovery processes and health management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practices.
- Maintain proficiency in cardiac nursing techniques and technologies.
- Support the department in achieving operational and patient care goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required.
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in open-heart procedures; 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in English communication and computer skills essential.
- Strong clinical expertise in cardiac nursing and patient care management.
