Overview
- Lead the accounting function, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards while driving operational excellence and financial accuracy.
- Oversee financial reporting, audits, and internal controls, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage and mentor a multi-location accounting team, developing performance metrics and training initiatives for professional growth.
- Drive automation and ERP implementation projects, optimizing processes and ensuring seamless integration of acquisitions.
- Provide technical accounting guidance for contracts, business models, and group policies to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align actuals, forecasts, and budgets effectively, ensuring financial transparency.
- Ensure compliance with tax filings, sales & use tax regulations, and liaise with external advisors for accurate reporting.
- Support strategic financial initiatives, including restructuring, M&A integration, and internal control documentation.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and group reporting standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate external audits and internal control reviews, acting as the primary contact for auditors and advisors.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, payroll accounting, and cash management.
- Supervise month-end close processes, targeting precision and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Lead ERP implementation projects, ensuring efficient data migration and process optimization across entities.
- Provide technical accounting expertise for strategic business decisions and financial initiatives.
- Develop and implement consistent accounting processes across entities and acquisitions, promoting standardization.
- Collaborate with FP&A to ensure alignment between actuals, forecasts, and budgets for accurate financial planning.
Job Requirements
- Master of Accountancy (MAc) degree required; CPA certification mandatory for this executive role.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 5 years in leadership positions.
- Proven expertise in multi-entity, multi-currency environments; international reporting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards; experience managing audits and improving processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, and data integration projects.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills to manage cross-functional relationships effectively.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining ethical and professional integrity in decision-making.
