Overview

  • Provide essential support as a Medical Assistant in a pediatric healthcare setting, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and vaccinations with precision and professionalism.

  • Support administrative tasks including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and insurance verification.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct clinical procedures including phlebotomy, EKGs, vaccinations, and suture removal with care and accuracy.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
  • Answer phone calls and provide clear, helpful information to patients and families.
  • Verify insurance details to facilitate seamless billing and patient care.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMRs) with attention to detail.
  • Assist during pediatric-focused medical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; certifications in medical assisting are preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical setting; pediatric experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medications and dosages.
  • Certification in phlebotomy and ability to perform EKGs and vaccinations.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and insurance verification processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with patients.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Background check clearance required prior to employment.
