Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations, bridging Corporate and Fund Accounting teams to ensure compliance, efficiency, and streamlined processes.
  • Oversee accounts payable for investment funds, ensuring accurate invoice handling and vendor payment processing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain centralized payment systems and reporting accuracy.
  • Manage treasury functions, including vendor bank account verification and payment processing workflows.
  • Perform month-end close activities, ensuring precise journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Contribute to standardized reporting to support organizational decision-making and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee fund accounts payable processes, ensuring compliance with agreements and accurate invoice coding.
  • Manage vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and reconciling outstanding invoices effectively.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments and proper application of fund reimbursements.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide cash flow projections to support financial planning and operational needs.
  • Evaluate and enhance workflow processes, implementing technology solutions for improved efficiency.
  • Develop reference tools and documentation to support accounts payable operations.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, with 10 years preferred in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proven expertise in accounts payable and fund accounting operations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
  • Experience with treasury functions, including bank reconciliations and payment processing.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and technology solutions for financial operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
