Overview

  • Lead nursing operations for maternal and child health services at a high-acuity healthcare facility.
  • Ensure quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards in a 24-hour accountability role.
  • Collaborate with physicians and departments to address patient and family needs effectively.
  • Manage resources responsibly to support the hospital's mission and operational goals.
  • Provide leadership in a facility with over 3,500 births annually and specialized maternal services.
  • Contribute to the development of nursing staff and uphold high standards of care.
  • Work in a facility offering comprehensive healthcare services, including Level III NICU and trauma care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement nursing care plans for maternal and child health services.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care quality and outcomes in assigned areas.
  • Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards in all operations.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively to achieve fiscal goals.
  • Support hospital initiatives and contribute to strategic planning efforts.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient care quality.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent leadership experience in high-acuity maternal services.
  • Experience managing over 3,500 births annually in a healthcare facility.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills required.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain BCLS certification.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and healthcare compliance requirements.
